Wednesday 20th May 2015 - Texas Hill Country - Slight Risk

Started the day in Decatur with a general risk area of the San Angelo area and a single Supercell formed and started heading very slowly South East, we got onto this Storm South East of San Angelo and followed it down towards the Interstate 10 area, We booked a nice hotel early in Junction knowing it had great views across the Concho River Valley and then briefly did a safari type chase through 20 miles of a mix of dirt and gravel, cattle grids and dry river beds, numerous animals along the way with herds of cows on the road, turkeys, chickens, rabbits, you name it they were there along that road, we stopped a few times for some gust front structure and then headed to the hotel, by this time a long line of storms had now formed stretching all the way back to Fort Stockton and we now knew this would be a great evening of Pizza, Beer and Lightning. A fun chase but little chance of Tornadoes today.
