Thursday 29th August 2013 - Phoenix & Wickenburg

The last official day of the trip and once again storms were not expected to be severe with little or almost zero upper support and 5kts of Flow it was hard to get excited about the last day. What we did find was another great viewpoint for when storms do impact the Phoenix Metro area but thats for a later date no doubt. Whilst in our scenic overlook a storm near Wickenburg tempted us out for an evening drive along the Carefree Highway (Hwy 74) and although a few Cg's were spotted and more in the way of anvil crawlers, nothing really said carry on chasing and ultimately we headed back towards the Metro for a last meal for our departing guest the next afternoon (Gavin was flying back 1 day earlier than the rest of us)
