24th May 2008 - Nebraska

Started the day in Hays (Ks) with a Moderate Risk issued for Central Nebraska so we hot Footed it up to Hebron for Lunch. As we were on route a new Moderate Risk area was Issued for North Central Oklahoma due to the fact a Lone Supercell had Initiated in an area of Very High Cape and an old Outflow Boundary. We were then powerless to watch this Lone Supercell put down 11 Tornadoes from a Cyclic Supercell (Great News for Local Chasers that lived near that area) and not so good for the rest of us that ended up chasing Rainbows in the painful Nebraska Bust! Included with us were the Dow Vehicles and the TIV. Ho Hum you cant win em all. Ended the day in Norfolk (Ne) and watched the lovely Tornadoes from the Oklahoma Storm on the Weathr Channel.
